Lacquer Craftsman's Bucket Stand

Incredible visual interest in this mingei piece.  Wood buckets were often used for collecting lacquer but this one appears to have been used as a pedestal for lacquer application on other works.  The drip pattern of lacquer  have piled up creating wonderful patterns and colors from the bottom dripping to the rim
